Artist of the Month

"I first took interest in digital photo-manipulation after I graduated college in the fall of 2011. After spending a couple of years doing my school work in front of a PC daily, I suppose I wasn’t sure what to do with my new found free time. My first artworks where dark and macabre portraits of friends and family that I used to decorate my home for a Halloween/Anniversary/Graduation party, and they all loved what I had created. I enjoyed making these sinister retouches, so I looked online for permitted photo resources and found DA. Four years later I’m still around sharing my art with others and contributing to the stock pool. Each artwork I create I try something new, and not all I make is dark and creepy; but if I was to try to fill a niche in the art world? The horror and macabre is where I would most likely end up. As a hobbyist I remain free of the expectations of others and I enjoy that freedom to create what I wish. I may never settle into a particular category of art style; but given the many that have expressed a liking of my art variety, I am very much settled into sharing what I can to online friends and strangers to view as time permits.

Music interest: If you can bang your head to it, I like it!
Gamer: Xbox, but usually only through the winter season
Other hobbies: Drinking (That is a hobby right?), hiking, fishing, photography, landscaping, and recently; crafting and gardening"
